The 80/20 Rule means that in any situation, 20 percent of the inputs or activities are responsible for 80 percent of the outcomes or results.
The problem is, it’s the 80% that is the least productive is where we spend most of our time and effort.
That’s because the 20% is usually more challenging and can take us outside our comfort zone.
And, picking up from yesterday’s report, why it’s important to plan and priorities your daily activities.
You need to set clear goals and priorities, as you want to focus on making sure
you get the things done that are going to move the needle.
But often times, what moves the needle lies in the unknown. It requires a risk, or a leap of faith, in some way.
Those who are successful at what they do know this. And instead of shying away from the challenge, they make themselves do these “hard tasks” first–before allowing themselves the luxury of the easy stuff.
Another lesson of the 80/20 Rule also means that 20 percent of the people owned 80 percent of the wealth, and this is no more so that in the recruitment industry, but now it’s time to change this.
I look forward to hearing from you.
Warmest regards
