101 Benefits of Starting Your Own Home-Based Recruitment Agency- Benefit No. 11 – Stop doing what you’re doing

“If you keep doing what you are doing, you are just going to get what you’ve got”

     I strongly believe that if I can get some momentum behind my offer to bring recruitment

to the masses, it will give more and more people the opportunity to have a slice of

recruitments £35 billion industry.

     Yesterday, I phoned someone who had previously attended my workshop to tell him

the good news about my programme to give people the opportunity to start their

recruitment agency at a discount fee.

     You see this chap had been caught fast asleep on duty as a security guard and was

given his marching orders on the spot.

     Now, to add insult to injury, he has a daughter at University and if he doesn’t come up

with the school fees, she would have to leave, how sad.

     He was desperate to start his recruitment agency as he had a client, who is a friend, who was keen to give him business for his agency, this was pretty much a slam dunk opportunity for him to earn some serious spondoolies.

    The only problem was he did not have any money to get started.

     My new business model would be just perfect for him as the discount offer I was

running at the time would have let him get started well within his budget. The contract

was to supply security guards to shopping centres throughout the UK.

     To get started with his agency was a complete no brainer, or so I thought.

     So, I said to him, I have some fantastic news, firstly, do you have a Facebook or

Twitter account with contacts. He said yes, I have tons of contacts on Facebook, I said

then that’s great all you will need to do is get four people to sign up and, you will get the

full online programme completely free of charge and then you can start on your friends

contract.

He said: can I get back to you?

I said, of course, you can, but why the hesitation?

I just need to find a job.

I said: This is a job, and as you have this contract to supply security guards I will show

you how to get up and running.

He said: Can I get back to you, my focus is on finding a job.

I said: That’s fine, but there is nothing to stop you doing both.

He said: I will need to think about it and get back to you.

This made no sense to me at all, as there was nothing stopping him from looking for

a job and at the same time working on his friend’s contract for security guards.

What I have realised over the years is that some people are afraid to step outside their

comfort zone.

The problem is, if you keep doing what you’re doing then you are just going to get what

you’ve got. It is only by doing things differently do you change your status quo.

I would like to give you the opportunity to change your status quo and to start your own home based recruitment agency.
